How is it July already?

I had a client yesterday who said the same thing most of us are thinking:

How is it July already? Six months into 2024. Halfway through the year.

Some of us will be delighted with how the first half of the year has gone, on track with our goals, and ready to dive into the next half. Some will have started strong and then faded a bit (like myself), and some will sail on and wish they had paused to reflect and renew their focus before the next New Year rolls in.

No matter which category you fall into, take a moment to pause and reflect on the first six months. Are you happy with how they have gone? Are you on track with your goals? Have situations and realities changed, and do you need to reassess priorities?

You might think you don’t have time to take 20-30 minutes to check in with your goals. But taking that time now will save you time in the long run, help refocus your actions, and could be the difference between you achieving your goals and not.

Here’s where to start with your mid-year stocktake:

  1. Honestly assess how the year has gone so far. If you wrote down your goals in January, get them out and see where your progress is.

  2. Refresh and update your goals as needed. Do they still align with your mission, vision, and priorities? Has your situation changed?

  3. Create a new roadmap to achieving your goals. Include milestones and action plans to overcome barriers or obstacles you have identified.

  4. Put a system in place to help keep you on track and accountable. Whether that is a monthly coaching session, a reminder note, or a calendar alert.

If you want to refocus and create a solid plan that will help you achieve your goals in 2024, get in touch. Here are a few words from my incredible clients about what coaching has

done for them:

“Increased my confidence and self-belief.”

“The impact was remarkable.”

“Felt accountable, inspired, reassured.”

“Better focus.”

“I know the guidance is bearing fruit.”
